Faith Mubanga

Hello, My name is Faith Mubanga and I am a Special Education Teacher!
With seven years of dedicated experience in providing personalized 1:1 learning support for a student with special needs, I specialize in fostering an inclusive learning environment across multiple grade levels. My understanding of the various developmental stages required for elementary students informs my tailored approach to education.
I collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including speech-language pathologists and physical therapists, to enhance the educational experience for my students. This collaborative effort has deepened my insight into the essential components of a comprehensive special education program, enabling me to address the diverse needs of individual learners.
My experience in a school setting has allowed me to effectively collaborate with a team of professionals to design Individualized Education Plans (IEPs). I specialize in scaffolding and modifying curriculum and classroom activities to ensure that the student I support can access content meaningfully, bridging their skills with grade-level standards.
Additionally, I provide English lessons to young learners from diverse backgrounds, ages 4 to 10, following the completion of my TESOL certification. This role has deepened my understanding of language acquisition and my ability to tailor instruction to meet the unique needs of English language learners.
When it comes to my teaching approach, I really like to tailor my teaching approach to the individual student’s needs. This is because I believe that every student has varying and unique needs. I take time to know the student and tailor my lessons to what works for them.
